Random Round Up: Girl Time

So apparently this is what I do now, post once a week. I feel like I go through this every year: A lull in creativity, in inspiration, in motivation. Ideas are percolating, but instead of bursting forth in a can't-keep-up tirade like 'normal', it's more of a swimming-groggily-towards-a-filtered-light-source pace.
Regardless, a Random Round Up you shall have.
It was Girls Weekend with my BFFs/college roomies.
So we went for a walk around our old stompin' grounds.
Even coerced some nice current students into snapping a pic for us.
Delicious dining out on Mexican at a much-touted restaurant.
All capped off in the best way with a 'Hawks trip to the Superbowl all locked up!
Don't give up on me quite yet, I'm bound to come back to life soon!

Random Round Up: Catch Up

The Random Round Up is back after it's month-long hiatus, so let's get right down to business:
Time spent in the country - Little House in the Big Woods
Home Sweet Home
My neighborhood in all it's fall glory.
Snuggly Puggle
Hello wind, goodbye leaves.
Woke up to a white and sparkling Thanksgiving weekend.
Started the holiday decorating - Hard to believe 'tis the season already!
Happy December!

Random Round Up: Catching Up

Happy December! Can't believe it's here already... Since Random Round Up has been on hiatus (read about why here), thought I'd toss a few extra photos in here. Ready, set, go:
Love him.
Proofing D.I.Y. family Christmas card photos.
Mending is therapeutic sometimes.
All purple'd up for the Huskies at Oregon State a couple weeks back.
Early to rise means some glorious sunrises from our entryway window.
And of course, the big state of Washington rivalry football game was this past weekend: The Apple Cup (UW Huskies vs WSU Cougars - Cats and dogs never mix well). The Dawgs were victorious, so all is right in my world.
Parking lot, 6a.m., Black Friday: Definitely NOT shopping.
A foggy Husky stadium was filled to the rafters.
Cheers to a good first week of December ahead, everybody.

Random Round Up: Belated

A lovely head cold and internet difficulties equal out to a much-belated Random Round Up for this last week/weekend. Better late than never...?
Tuck is loving the fireplace being in action again.
Halloween nails
Candlelight on a dreary day.
Hawks Sunday game for a dear friend's birthday.
How is it time for the red Starbucks cup to be out again already?!
Errand Girl: Picking up balloons for Laura Bee Designs' 10 year anniversary!
Still a few leaves left to brighten a moody morning on the waterfront.

Random Round Up: Slow

I was internet silent last week, and that feels strange. Not even a Monday Random Round Up! The truth is, last week was crazy, and this week is shaping up to be no better. And I'm sure you can relate to this: When I get home from work lately, I'm tired.

There are studies out there that show the more bored you are, the more creative you get. Welp, I'm the furthest thing from bored in recent weeks, and it's really affecting my creative juices. I feel like a broken record saying I'm waiting for inspiration to strike, but, well, that's just the way it is right now.

Here are a few pretty pictures for the waiting room, at least:
New phone means new case, and I made another studded version. DIY tutorial here.
This floral case is by fashion designer Anna Sui.
A cereal bar potluck at work. Brilliant, right?
People are calling it "Februly" around here - My camellia is in full bloom.
Someone is enjoying the sun making an early appearance.
A birthday lunch date for the men in my life took us to a spot with a gorgeous view.
The goal is simple this week: Make it through without face-planting into my keyboard at work. Have a good one, guys!

Random Round Up: Really, Really Random

A Random Round Up that is true to it's name. (P.S. Do you know you can click on any picture in this blog to see it larger? FYI.)

Morning Coffee on the Beach
Hilarious Facebook Find
Friday Night Lights, Soccer Style
Wedding Outfit... I totally wore something different however. Ha.
U-Pres Pipes
Pass this daily - No idea what it does, but I like it.
You're probably sick of seeing these. Can't get enough of 'em.

Random Round Up: New & Improved

I didn't take a ton of pics this week/end, so mixing it up a little for today's Round Up. Some of this info is newer then the rest, but all will hopefully improve us. Too cryptic? Let me break it down.

We've been suddenly more active outside of the house of late. Nate and I have both been athletes in some form our whole lives, and I've been jealous as he gets to play soccer in a men's league. Lucky for me, I finally broke into a volleyball team in a work-based league! It's not as high of a competition level as I'd ideally enjoy, but it's been great (here we are in week 7 and I've forgotten to mention it thus far) to get my hands on a ball and play with a team again.

I also finally pulled the trigger and signed up for my first 5k race. It's been a goal of mine for years, but since I loathe running, it took a lot for me to actually think about really, truly, doing it. Nate and I singed up for The Color Run in May, leaving me plenty of time to train. It was my second session of two-runs-per-week this last week, and I hit the two mile mark. It's not a lot, but it's a lot for me!
You can see if it's headed for your city here.
Last and most exciting: Nate has been accepted into a distance civil engineering program through the University of North Dakota! He won't start for about a year, due to timing of the web-based schedule, but it's a huge deal. I think he's so brave for committing to it and going all in. PROUD WIFE!!
Funnily enough my father-in-law graduated from the engineering program at UND as well (he attended in person), so we're keeping it in the family. Go Sioux!

Random Round Up: Land-O-Lakes

Home again from my favorite place in the world - A big lake in a tiny town in Minnesota. It was a week of perfect weather, food and family, and parking myself on the end of a dock for hours a time.

So basically: My version of heaven. I couldn't choose only five Random Round Up pics like normal, so enjoy a couple bonus visuals this week.
Not a bad way to kick of the month of July.
All under 7 months - Love these fuzzy hoodlums.
Party like it's 1776! My 4th of July manicure.
Full moon magic... Photos just can't capture the reality.
Children of the Lake
Fires to the north made for some incredible sunsets.
Guess I'll be wearing this ring whether it's on my finger or off for a while!
The reality check was a harsh one this week, but getting back in the swing. Happy Friday eve, all!

Random Round Up: Easter Weekend

A belated Random Round Up (I just couldn't wait to show you the laundry room reveal, what can I say) for a now-belated holiday. Hope yours was just eggcellent (enter eye roll here).
Fun with cousins at an Easter egg hunt!
My parents sweet princess dog Shiloh.
Our neighborhood is exploding in blossoms.
Fresh food in my hometown: Easter brunch at Fresh Start
